Fugly Toenails™ treatment options are reviewed by Florida-licensed podiatric providers within JAWS Podiatry and may include topical prescription treatment, oral antifungal medication, supportive products, or combination protocols when clinically appropriate.

Important: Fugly Toenails™ telemedicine services and prescription treatment options are available only to eligible adults who are Florida residents and physically located in the State of Florida at the time of evaluation. OUR PHILOSOPHY
Systemic + topical. Comprehensive, not one-size-fits-all.
Fungal nail and skin conditions vary in severity, location, and presentation. A mild case may require a different approach than chronic, multi-nail onychomycosis. That is why each case is reviewed individually, and an appropriate treatment recommendation is made only after eligibility screening and provider review.
Depending on medical eligibility and clinical appropriateness, a treatment plan may include topical prescription treatment, oral antifungal medication, supportive products, combination protocols, or a Pulse Therapy approach.
You do not select a prescription treatment yourself. A Florida-licensed provider determines whether prescription treatment is appropriate based on your individual case, medical history, contraindications, and applicable laws and regulations.

Fugly Complete™
ORAL + TOPICAL CARE
Oral + topical. The provider-directed full-spectrum plan.
Description: A provider-directed 90-day initial oral + topical plan for eligible patients with persistent, extensive, or multi-nail onychomycosis. It combines a prescribed oral antifungal with Fugly Toenails™ Antifungal Solution when the provider determines the combination is clinically appropriate — addressing the infection systemically and topically.
Composition: Prescription oral antifungal + Fugly Toenails™ Antifungal Solution (topical ciclopirox 8%)
Best for: Eligible persistent cases, multiple affected nails, or a history of insufficient response to topical-only care.
Rx: Prescription required. Oral medication requires full medical evaluation and review of contraindications, including a required baseline liver function test (LFT) to confirm suitability for oral therapy, and a required follow-up LFT before any continuation.
Diagnostic Testing: The provider may recommend Fungal Nail Diagnostic Testing ($260) to confirm the diagnosis before or during treatment, based on clinical judgment. This is optional and not required for every case.
Treatment Schedule: May be prescribed under any of the three provider-directed schedules (Standard 90-Day Course, Pulse Therapy, or Continuous / Extended Care) when clinically appropriate.

Fugly Topical™
TOPICAL CARE
Provider-directed topical prescription plan.
Description: A provider-directed 90-day initial topical plan for eligible mild-to-moderate or limited cases, and for situations where oral therapy is not appropriate.
Composition: Fugly Toenails™ Antifungal Solution (topical ciclopirox 8%)
Best for: Eligible mild-to-moderate nail cases, topical-care protocols, and patients who don't require or aren't candidates for oral antifungal therapy.
Rx: Prescription required. Ciclopirox 8% is a prescription-strength topical — not an over-the-counter product.
Diagnostic Testing: Diagnostic Testing: The provider may recommend Fungal Nail Diagnostic Testing ($260) when clinical confirmation would guide treatment decisions. This is optional and not required for every case.
Continuation: The provider determines whether continued treatment is needed beyond the initial 90-day supply.

Fugly Nail + Skin™
NAIL + SKIN CARE
Provider-directed nail + skin combined care plan.
Description: A provider-directed pathway for eligible patients who have onychomycosis together with signs or a clinical diagnosis of tinea pedis or another fungal skin condition of the foot. Fugly Toenails™ Antifungal Solution is directed to the nail; Antifungal Cream is added for the skin when clinically appropriate.
Composition: Fugly Toenails™ Antifungal Solution (topical ciclopirox 8%) + Antifungal Cream (topical ciclopirox cream)
Best for: Eligible patients with nail fungus and accompanying fungal skin involvement identified by the provider. Positioning note: A parallel pathway for concurrent skin involvement — not a stronger version of Fugly Topical™, and not added automatically to every case.
Rx: Prescription required. The cream course may differ from the nail-treatment timeline and follows the specific prescription.
Diagnostic Testing: Diagnostic Testing: The provider may recommend Fungal Nail Diagnostic Testing ($260) when confirmation of the fungal diagnosis would inform the treatment approach. This is optional and not required for every case.

DIAGNOSTIC CONFIRMATION
When diagnostic testing is clinically appropriate
Not every nail condition that looks fungal actually is. In some cases, a Florida-licensed provider within JAWS Podiatry may recommend Fungal Nail Diagnostic Testing before starting or continuing a treatment plan. The test confirms whether a fungal infection is present through laboratory analysis of a mail-in nail sample.
Diagnostic testing is optional and case-specific. Your provider recommends it when your case presents features that benefit from laboratory confirmation — for example, atypical presentation, previous treatment that did not respond as expected, or medical history that makes confirmation clinically valuable.

TREATMENT SCHEDULES
One plan, three possible schedules — chosen by your provider.
Your treatment plan (Complete, Topical, or Nail + Skin) is separate from how it is scheduled over time. After provider review, your plan may follow one of three provider-directed schedules. Like the plan itself, the schedule is determined by a Florida-licensed provider based on your condition, medical history, contraindications, and medical eligibility — not chosen by the patient.
Standard 90-Day Course
An initial treatment course structured over 90 days — the standard schedule around which each plan is built. Ninety days represents an initial treatment phase, not a guaranteed endpoint or a guaranteed cure. At the end of the initial course, your provider determines whether further treatment is appropriate.
An intermittent oral dosing schedule that uses planned treatment cycles with rest periods, when clinically appropriate. Pulse Therapy applies only to plans that include an oral component and is prescribed at provider discretion after clinical review.
Pulse Therapy
Continuous / Extended Care
For some cases, treatment may continue beyond the initial 90 days — sometimes for a year or more — under ongoing provider supervision. Because toenails grow slowly, certain patients may benefit from continued care, repeat courses, or extended topical and supportive treatment over a longer period. Continuation is never automatic: each new course is a separate provider decision, and — when oral medication is involved — is preceded by a required liver function test (see "Medical Safety" below).
You do not choose the schedule yourself. A Florida-licensed provider determines whether a Standard 90-Day Course, Pulse Therapy, or Continuous / Extended Care is appropriate for your individual case and medical eligibility. All three are valid, provider-directed approaches.
MEDICAL SAFETY FIRST
Oral medication is prescribed to a high clinical standard.
Oral antifungal medication is prescribed only after your safety is evaluated. When a plan includes an oral component, a liver function test (LFT) is a required part of provider review — both before treatment begins and before any continuation. This is a non-negotiable safety standard of the program.
Before prescribing (baseline)
Before any oral antifungal medication is prescribed, a baseline liver function test (LFT) is required to help confirm whether you are a suitable candidate for oral therapy. If your results or medical history indicate that oral medication is not appropriate for you, your provider may recommend a topical plan or another next step instead.
If treatment continues beyond the initial 90-day course — including a repeat course, a Pulse Therapy continuation, or Continuous / Extended Care — a follow-up liver function test (LFT) is required before a new dose is prescribed. This confirms that ongoing oral treatment remains appropriate for you.
Before a new course or continuation
These checks are a required part of provider-directed care. The specific testing, timing, and interpretation are determined by a Florida-licensed provider based on your medical history and applicable clinical guidelines. Topical-only plans (Fugly Topical™, Fugly Nail + Skin™) do not involve oral medication and do not require liver function testing.

What do our treatments address?
Onychomycosis (Nail Fungus)
Fungal infection of the toenails. Characterized by discoloration, thickening, brittleness, and separation of the nail from the nail bed.
Fugly Toenails™ treats toenail and foot-related fungal conditions only.
Tinea Pedis (Athlete's Foot)
Fungal infection of the skin of the foot, particularly between the toes. Symptoms include itching, scaling, redness, and in some cases blistering.
